About

Lighting has an ephemeral, subliminal impact on theatre; I am enamored with the way it can shape and affect people and environments.

Having just finished an internship with Available Light’s Special Events and Trade Show division I have returned to Virginia Tech to complete my final semester as an M.F.A candidate in Theatre. Before beginning my M.F.A I had received a B.S. in Theatre as well as a B.S. in Philosophy from Kansas State University.

Currently I am the lighting designer for Taming of the Shrew at Virginia Tech. This production serves as a portion of my thesis-equivalent project and report, which is focused on studying rendering, visualization techniques, and remote design and communications. Upon graduating I will be joining Available Light full-time as a lighting designer.
